Lunelle 22-Momme Mulberry Silk Pillowcase
★★★★★

I run hot and used to wake up damp most nights. This is the first pillowcase that still feels dry at 5am. My hair is also far less of a mess in the morning.

Overview

A 22-momme mulberry silk pillowcase cut from Grade 6A long-strand fibre — the longest and most uniform grade produced.

Cotton holds moisture and grips hair. Silk does neither. It absorbs a fraction as much, dries far faster, and creates much less friction against hair and skin overnight.

Materials
  • 100% Grade 6A mulberry silk, 22 momme
  • OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified
  • Hidden zip closure, French seams throughout
  • Fits Standard and Queen pillows
Care

Machine wash cold on a delicate cycle, ideally in a mesh bag, with a pH-neutral or silk-specific detergent. No bleach, no fabric softener.

Hang to dry away from direct sun, or tumble on the lowest heat. Iron only if you want to — lowest setting, inside out, while slightly damp.

Cotton soaks it up. Silk doesn't.

Cotton soaks it up. Silk doesn't.

Cotton holds the heat and the damp. Silk lets both go — so when it passes, you settle back down instead of getting up to change the bedding.

Luxury Sleep, Made Drier.

Luxury Sleep, Made Drier.

A genuine 22-momme mulberry silk pillowcase without the boutique markup. Smooth on hair and skin, breathable through the night, and it does not hold on to moisture the way cotton does. Machine washable and built to keep its finish wash after wash.

Stays Dry Till Morning

Silk holds a fraction of the moisture cotton does. When a hot flash passes, the surface is not still damp an hour later — which is the difference between rolling over and getting back to sleep, and getting up to change the bedding.

Silky Smooth For Skin And Hair

A far lower-friction surface than cotton. Hair glides instead of catching, so less breakage and much less morning tangle, and your skincare stays on your face rather than soaking into the pillow.

Easy-Care, No Special Handling

Machine wash cold on a delicate cycle in a mesh bag with a pH-neutral detergent. No dry cleaning, no hand washing, no fuss. Hang to dry or tumble on the lowest heat.

I stopped waking up damp

I run hot and always have. This is the first pillowcase where the surface still feels dry at 5am instead of clammy. That alone was worth it.

My blowout finally lasts

It used to be gone by the first morning. Now it holds two or three days and my hair is not a knot when I wake up.

Creases fade much faster

I am a side sleeper so I had given up on the pillow crease. It is not gone entirely but it fades in minutes now rather than lasting all morning.

Still looks new after months

I had a cheaper silk case before that pilled within two months. This one still looks new. You can feel the extra weight straight away.

Washes without any fuss

Cold cycle in a mesh bag and it comes out fine every time. I was expecting to have to hand wash it.

Bought a second one

Got one to try and ordered another for the other side of the bed a fortnight later. My husband noticed the difference too.

Will it really stay dry?

Silk absorbs far less moisture than cotton and dries much faster. It will not stop a hot flash, but it does mean the surface is not still wet once one passes.

What does 22-momme mean?

Momme is the density measure for silk — how much silk is actually in the fabric. Higher is heavier, more opaque and more durable. Most pillowcases sold as luxury silk are 19 momme. Ours is 22.

Is it machine washable?

Yes. Cold, delicate cycle, mesh bag, silk-friendly detergent. No dry cleaning and no hand washing required.

Is it good for sensitive skin?

Silk is naturally hypoallergenic and resistant to dust mites, and this fabric is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, meaning every component has been tested for harmful substances.

How is it different from satin?

Satin is a weave, not a fibre — it is usually polyester. It looks similar but does not breathe the same way and traps far more heat. This is 100% mulberry silk.

What if I do not like it?

Sleep on it for 30 nights. If it is not for you, keep it and we will refund you anyway.
